a large real estate developer negotiated a sweetheart
deal with New York City Hall that would destroy the
Bronx Terminal Market, evict hundreds of immigrant
merchants and develop a big box retail complex, Hank
Sheinkopf was retained to apply pressure on the administration.

box plan, coordinated with elected officials and the

Safety
When
Massachusetts Correction Officers were accused of
conspiring to murder defrocked pedophile priest John
Geoghan in his prison cell, Sheinkopf was retained
by the largest private public safety union in New
England. Sheinkopf’s strategy enabled the union
to deflect the widespread accusations and instead
create a prison staffing crisis that placed blame
on the administration for poorly managing the state’s
institutions. Sheinkopf’s repeated calls for
ouster of the Corrections chief led to the prompt
removal of Commissioner Michael Maloney by Governor
Mitt Romney.
